MMAP Michigan Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program

WHAT IS THE MICHIGAN MEDICARE/MEDICAID ASSISTANCE PROGRAM?

What is MMAP?  Michigan’s Medicare Medicaid Assistance Program, or MMAP, is a free service that helps with:

  • Medicare benefits
  • Your plan options
  • How to enroll – When to enroll
  • Costs
  • Provide enrollment assistance

  • If a senior has limited resources, a MMAP counselor can help apply for the appropriate program. Whether you need extra help with prescriptions, enrolling in a Medicare Savings Program, enrolling in Medicaid, or to join or switch your Medicare drug plan, MMAP is here to help!

  • A MMAP Counselor can help seniors save on Rx costs by identifying other resources/manufacturer programs and by helping seniors evaluate their drug plan during the annual Part D Open Enrollment.

  • A MMAP Counselor can explain Long Term Care options and assist with the application process.

  • A MMAP Counselor will identify and report Medicare & Medicaid fraud and abuse.  MMAP Counselors do not make decisions for you; they do not sell you insurance; they guide you through your options.  Call (800) 803-7174 for more information.

Call a MMAP Counselor at (800) 803-7174, email your question to aaainfo@aaawm.org or visit www.mmapinc.org to get started online.
